Head of Engineering
About the Role
This is a builder role. You’ll write code every day — architecting and shipping the agent systems, knowledge graph infrastructure, and intelligence layer that power Amiara’s platform. You’ll work directly with the founders as the technical right hand on how we implement, not just what we implement.
You’ll also own the engineering standards that let a small team move at high velocity without breaking things — merge processes, documentation, code review culture, and system architecture decisions. This is not a management role. We need someone who builds and raises the bar for everyone building alongside them.
What You'll Do
- Architect and personally build Amiara’s agent orchestration, knowledge graph, and AI systems
- Own code quality — merge processes, documentation standards, review culture, and testing rigor
- Build internal tools and infrastructure that accelerate the entire engineering team’s output
- Ship production features end-to-end, from system design through to deployed, working software
- Partner with the founders on implementation strategy, delivery timelines, and technical decisions
What We're Looking For
- You write code daily and ship to production — this is hands-on, not supervisory
- Deep experience with knowledge graphs, agent architectures, and LLM orchestration in production
- Strong Node.js/TypeScript background with modern cloud infrastructure experience
- Track record of building AI systems that real users depend on, not just prototypes or demos
- AI-native workflow — you use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot as part of how you build
